ALLIGATOR TO PUNGO RIVER

We left at 7am today

 The Alligator wasn't to bad  got to motor sail about 2 hrs.  Then on the nose again.  Probably the most disappointing part of this trip was not being able to turn the motor off and just sail.  Did get to see my 1st Bald Eagle of the trip today.  I will need to load some pictures.

We are at River Forest Marina for the night and getting a bad roll from the southwest breeze.  A loose bolt fell into the carb linkage and held the throttle wide open during docking.  That was scary. Had a great dinner (but expensive) at Spoon River restaurant (only one open)

and a beautiful sunset

 

Should make Morehead city tomorrow then decide if we try a outside sail.
